Grandma Prisbrey's Bottle Village is a very special folk art site in Simi Valley, California that I have been interested in for the past 3 decades. While Grandma spent most of her adult life creating the village starting in 1956, it has fallen on hard times since her death in 1988 and an earthquake that struck in 1994. Presently the village is in dire need of funds to begin a rehabilitation program to preserve what remains of this unique site. To that end an adopt a square foot program has been announced. For a mere $20 you can adopt one square foot of the beautiful mosaic pavement that Grandma created and in return you will receive a deed suitable for framing.
